We are looking for someone with relevant skills and experience, a clear understanding of our Christian ethos, and a passion for impacting young people and their families.

We are now looking to recruit the following:

Ethos Youth Worker (Full Time) – Lord Grey Academy

The ETHOS Youth Worker will work as part of the ETHOS Team, in strategic partnership with the school, to positively impact thousands of young people and their families through holistic education. They will provide hands on clubs, activities, intervention groups & mentoring to help meet student’s emotional, relational and spiritual needs.

POST 19TH ARRANGEMENTS

 

Hi everyone

I said on Sunday that I would send out an extra email this week regarding arrangements for Sunday services and other gathered times here at SBC following the latest easing of restrictions. The decisions we have made continue to be guided by government and Baptist Union advice.  Furthermore, they are informed by our desire BOTH to embrace something of the freedoms that are now available and be mindful of the continuing need to be cautious in the face of rising infection. 

Please do watch the video below and refer to the document HERE and we ask for your grace and cooperation in following what we believe to be the wise course at this time.  We suspect there will be further review coming as the situation develops.

At this time, we especially want to emphasise the need to establish a culture of testing.  One of the best safeguards we can create is to ask everyone attending a service to test using a lateral flow test kit the night before coming to the building.  A positive case or symptoms will mean that you should under no circumstances attend.  We have many boxes of lateral flow tests here at the building or you can acquire one at your local pharmacy or online HERE.

Following the receipt of a generous financial gift, SBC is now able to help and bless anyone from within the church who is struggling financially, particularly as a result of Covid-19.
