Dear Church Family,

As you know, a special church members meeting was held yesterday evening to allow members to vote in response to the Elders' proposal that Alex Davie be called as Senior Minister to SBC.  I am delighted to inform you that Alex was overwhelmingly affirmed by voting members, agreeing with the Elders' proposal.  I am equally delighted to confirm that Alex has accepted this calling and will formally take up the role of Senior Minister from 1st January.

What was especially exciting was the sense of worship and listening to God that surrounded both last night's proceedings and the weeks and months that have led us to this point.  Together as a church, we have sought the Lord, He has heard, He has answered, and we have responded in faith and trust.  We have every reason, therefore, to look forward with excitement to what God is going to do in us, with us and through us in this next season.  We really hope you will choose to commit yourself to being a part of this in worship, prayer, service, giving and fellowship.
